Cayton Village

We recently visited Cayton Village Caravan Park in North Yorkshire and we have to say the site was excellent. The staff at the caravan park were extremely friendly and helpful; something that I don’t think gets mentioned in reviews as much as it should!

We chose the site as it is only half a mile- a pleasant walk- from Cayton Bay which itself is very beautiful- we took walks in both the morning and early evening after eating which made the area seem even more peaceful. There is something about being near the sea that we love and this element of the site means that we will certainly visit again. The general facilities were perfect; everything was clean and the shop and off licence are well stocked with everything that you could need on a day to day basis.

One of the highlights was being pointed in the direction of the local fish and chip shop; got to say it is one of, if not the best, fish and chips we have ever tried.

The site also has a floodlit four acre dog walk that is absolutely fantastic for those of us who like to take our four legged friends with us! The bus service to Scarborough and Filey stops right outside of the park meaning that if you want a day out without driving you are perfectly placed to use the public transport.

They have also built a children’s playground on site which certainly seemed to be popular; both to the children and adults who could sit and relax while watching their children safely.
All in all this is a great all round site. No matter if you want to relax or explore, if you have children or are dog owners; it caters for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cayton Village Caravan Park and would recommend it to anyone.
